Privacy Policy

Parqsee is a Parquet file viewer that runs entirely on your Mac. It collects no data about you and sends nothing anywhere. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no crash reporting and no advertising.

Your files

Parqsee reads the files you open — by dropping them on the window, opening them from Finder, choosing them in the open panel, or browsing a folder you opened — and nothing else. The contents of those files, their names and their paths are never transmitted. They are read to display them and are not copied anywhere except when you yourself export rows to a CSV or JSON file you choose.

What is stored on your Mac

So that the app comes back the way you left it, Parqsee keeps the following inside its own container on your Mac (~/Library/Containers/llc.fuji.parqsee/):

• your settings — appearance, language, rows per page;
• the last five files you opened, the folders you opened in the explorer, and the tabs that were open, so they can be reopened at the next launch — each with the permission token macOS issues for that file or folder;
• the folder your last export was written to, so the next save panel starts there.

This information stays on your Mac. It is not synchronised, backed up to us, or readable by anyone but you, and deleting the app's container or the app itself removes all of it. Recent files can also be cleared from the start screen at any time.

The in-app purchase

The full version is a one-time in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple. Parqsee asks the App Store whether the purchase belongs to your Apple Account and displays the name and price the App Store returns. Payment details never reach the app, and the developer receives no personal information from Apple — only the aggregate sales reports Apple provides to every developer. Apple's handling of the transaction is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Network

Parqsee does not contact any server operated by the developer. It has no update check, no license server and no remote configuration; the App Store delivers updates. The only network traffic the app takes part in is Apple's own, when you make or restore the in-app purchase.

Children

Parqsee is a developer utility rated 4+. It contains no user-generated content, no messaging and no advertising, and because it collects nothing it collects nothing from children either.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new effective date. Because the app collects no data, a change here would mean a change in the app — it would be described in the release notes as well.
